Why a White Woman

A few weeks ago I launched GROW — a DEI consultancy. My works focuses on advertising agencies and marketing firms using hands-on qualitative methods, which elicit powerful emotional truths that drive change. My structured offerings help build and sustain a culture of belonging. And, they are always anchored in measurable goals because one-offs will check a box, but they won’t work.

My offerings include Belonging Briefs — where I tell organizations their truths. Truths Coaching — private executive discovery sessions that uncover pain points and wins that will frame DEI guiding principles. Cultural Engagement — which encourage bravery and cultivates empathy, while seeking to reshape a culture that nurtures women and diverse talent. Reimagining Recruitment — examines recruiting practices and challenge the old and broken “agency fit” model. Creative Audits — uses semiotic and narrative analysis to assure cultural sensitivity in creative work.

I’ve been called “radically honest” and my work speaks this truth. I’ve also been quoted in Advertising Age, Fortune, and on NPR’s Marketplace among many others. And, I’m the co-author of Advertising Creative: Strategy, Copy, and Design, sold in 24 countries — along with a whole gaggle of academic articles and white papers on DEI.

Today, the first day of Women’s History Month (as if, like Black History Month we should stay in our month! OH don’t get me going), I launched my inaugural podcast. So, If you wanna know why a white women is doing DEI work — check it out. It’s Radically Honest.

Then reach out and let’s get to work.
